You are cordially invited to participate in the Khaat Kriya and Bhawan Shilanyas ceremony for Shri Digamber Jain Temple of Virginia in Chantilly, VA.
With the blessings of Acharaya Shri Vidya sagarji Maharaj and Sudha sagarji maharaj, we will request permission from Kshetrapal Dev to break ground (Khaat Kriya) for our new temple and have an auspicious start. Dr. Vrashabh Prasadji will be supervising and coordinating the entire religious event and the Khaat Kriya and Bhavan Shilanyas will be performed by Pratisthacharya Sanat Kumarji Vinod Kumarji – participating from India.
Here are the program details:
Date: Wednesday, July 29, 2020
9:00 am – 9:30 am: Jaaps for the event to generate positive energy
9:30 am- 12:30 pm – Program will include Shantidhara, Dev Shastra Guru Pooja, Kumbh Staphan, Deep Staphan, Dhwaja Ropan, Khaat Kriya, Bhavan Shilanyas, Vidhaan, and Aarti.
In-person Event Attendees: Due to COVID-19, the in-person event will be open to selective people – boli winners and identified volunteers to provide support during the event. Please wear pooja clothes (dhoti for males and sari for females) when you attend the event for the bolis you have taken and be present at the venue by 9:00 am EDT. Due to COVID-19, all participants will be required to wear masks all the time. Please bring your own sanitizers and wipes.

We are really excited to have reached this milestone and hope to start the construction soon after the event. We would like to thank all our Directors, Executive committee, and community members who worked very hard to ensure that we are able to conduct this ceremony and continue making progress. Das Lakshan Celebration
We will be celebrating Das Lakshana festival, starting on August 23 and ending on September 1st. Rajdhani mandir is now open however there are a number of limitations for the well-being of everyone. Keeping that in mind, we will be limiting the number of people participating in-person for our events. However, we are hopeful that you will be able to join at least for a few times in person and rest of the time online. Below is a modified program schedule.
Abhishek, Aarti after Abhishek and morning pooja:
Timing: weekdays: 8 AM to 9 AM for Abhishek and Aarti. Puja will start right after Abhishek and Aarti. Approximate end time 12 PM.
Boli Participation: Participation in Abhishek and Aarti will be done via boli. Please see the list below toward the end of the email for detail. As a boli participant, you and your spouse are requested to be present at the mandir.
Additional In-person Participation: 6 people will be allowed to join. We request that you send us an email at This email address is being protected from spambots. It is generally speaking on a first come first serve however IDJO team will assign days and time to ensure all interested parties can join at least once or twice during the festival. We highly recommend that “at risk” people do not join in person.

Evening Aarti: We will not be able to do it as a group this time but we hope that you will be able to do it at your home.
Dhoopdashmi: Will be done virtually on Friday, August 28th from 5:30 to 6:30.
Savantsari Pratikraman: Will be done virtually on Tuesday, September 1 at 5:30 PM.
Children’s Activities: We invite all children to participate in various activities as outlined in the attached activity book. Please send the completed workbook on August 10th. We will acknowledge participants in the Kshamavani celebration. If you wish to sponsor children’s activities, please let us know via email.
Kshamavani Celebration: will be done via Zoom on Saturday, September 5th at 10 AM.

Boli hotline will start on Friday, Aug 7th at 9AM. In other words, emails received after this time and date will be taken in consideration. Assignment of bolis will be on a first come first serve basis but if there is any conflict or need for adjustment, we will let you know. We also request that you include your second choice as well.
